Evolving the Female First Brand
Female First wasn’t created from scratch.
It already had a purpose, a passionate founder and a clear belief in supporting women. What it needed was a stronger framework that could communicate that vision consistently across every touchpoint.
That became the focus of our partnership.
Rather than changing what Female First stood for, we worked together to uncover what made it powerful and then build a brand experience that reflected it.
From Vision to Clarity
When Libby and I began working together, she had a clear vision for the impact she wanted to make. She knew how she wanted women to feel when they entered her spaces, and she knew the conversations she wanted to lead.
What she couldn’t yet see was how all of that translated visually and digitally.
That’s where my role began.
Instead of imposing a creative direction, I immersed myself in understanding Libby—how she communicates, what drives her, how she leads, and what makes Female First different from every other women’s community.
From there, I was able to show her what her vision looked like.
Not just in words, but through imagery, design, structure, storytelling and digital strategy.
Building a Brand That Felt Like Her
The most important measure of success wasn’t whether the brand looked beautiful.
It was whether Libby looked at it and felt that it genuinely represented who she is.
Every creative decision was guided by that principle.
Together, we refined the messaging, selected imagery that reflected warmth and strength without feeling staged, and developed a visual language that felt approachable, aspirational and authentic.
The goal wasn’t to create a polished brand for the sake of appearances.
It was to create a brand that women could immediately connect with because it felt real.
Creating More Than Marketing Assets
Throughout the project, we weren’t simply designing graphics or building a website.
We were creating a framework that would support everything Female First would become.
That included developing assets that could grow with the organisation, including:
Brand imagery with long-term versatility.
A consistent visual identity.
Website direction and user experience.
Messaging that reflected Libby’s voice.
Digital content aligned across platforms.
A strategy that supported future growth rather than immediate campaigns.
Every decision was made with longevity in mind.
A Genuine Partnership
One of the things I value most about this project is that it was never a client simply asking for creative work.
It was a partnership.
Libby brought the heart, lived experience and vision.
My role was to help translate that vision into something people could immediately understand, experience and connect with.
Those are very different skill sets, but together they created something far stronger than either could have achieved independently.
Continuing Beyond the Launch
The work didn’t stop once the brand reached a point where it felt complete.
My role continues as Female First grows—supporting new initiatives, refining messaging, producing content and ensuring every new piece aligns with the foundation we created together.
Because that’s what strong branding is.
It’s not a one-time project.
It’s an ongoing commitment to making sure every new chapter still feels connected to the original vision.
